INTENDED USE The Vetscan Giardia Rapid Test is a visual and rapid test for the qualitative detection of Giardia cyst antigens in canine feces. This test is for veterinary in-vitro diagnostic use only. Giardia is a common yet frequently overlooked parasite causing diarrhea, vomiting and anorexia in animals (1). The presence of this pathogen in pets has public health importance (2). VetScan Giardia Rapid Test employs a unique combination of monoclonal antibodies that give the test great specificity and sensitivity for the detection of Giardia cyst antigens.
