Career Opportunity – Medical Sales Representative

Bioscint Engineering Ltd is a medical engineering firm which specializes on the supply of medical devices, biomedical engineering services and technical support.

We are presently looking to recruit a medical sales representative to join our expanding team of professionals. The medical sales representative is a professional who acts as the first point of contact between the company and the healthcare provider. His or her responsibilities revolve mostly around strategically increasing awareness and use of the company’s medical products.

As a member of our team, your responsibilities would include:

  • Taking the lead on creating awareness about Bioscint’s medical products, which include medical devices and consumables, to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, laboratories and clinics.
  • Setting up appointments with doctors, pharmacists, and clinics / hospitals through means which may include calling, emailing, use of social media, meetings or through networking events.
  • Holding meetings with doctors, pharmacists, dentists, and other healthcare providers in order to identify their needs, present to them our company’s solutions and closing sales by agreeing on terms and conditions.
  • Providing after sales support through dissemination of specialist product knowledge and know-how.
  • Keep the company’s customer relation management (CRM) Software updated with new prospective sales leads, sales processes and client records.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with company clients.
  • Reaching agreed upon sales targets and performance metrics, and striving to exceed these where possible.
  • Planning work schedules and weekly / monthly timetables for visiting and interacting with present clients and prospective new clients.
  • Organising conferences for healthcare professionals.
  • Regularly attending company meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
  • Attending medical exhibitions and training sessions overseas.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of product developments in the clinical and scientific field.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and competitor products.


The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Preferably have a scientific or healthcare-related qualification. This career position is open to any competent sales person, but a background qualification in these fields may be given preference.
  • Preferably have 1 – 2 years experience in lead generation and sales with general practitioners, pharmacies and clinics.
  • Be highly organised and methodical.
  • Have good interpersonal skills to communicate with healthcare professionals and clients.
  • Have good command of the English and Maltese language, and have the ability to prepare reports and presentations.
  • Be patient and self motivated.
  • Be confident and persistent.
  • Be computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Possess a clean and valid driving license (essential).
  • Be willing travel on work related seminars and exhibitions.

A competitive package inclusive of basic salary + attractive commissions and benefits shall be offered to the right candidate.
